Eine spannende Sequenz aus der täglichen Arbeit zusammen mit Christina Wunderlich als Reiterin und Manuel Jorge de Oliveira als Ausbilder: Fleissig und Willig geht Risky Business mittlerweile in die Piaffe – und reagiert nicht mehr hektisch auf den Ausbilder am Boden oder mit Gegenwehr gegen den Reiter. Risky knirscht noch leicht mit den Zähnen – leider ein Zeugnis seiner Vergangenheit, das wir nicht einfach rückgängig machen können. Aber – die Leichtigkeit, die er zeigt schenken uns bereits schon atemberaubende Momente! Wir müssen den Pferden so viel Vertrauen geben können, dass wir sie auch über ihr jeweils aktuelles Limit bringen können – aber eben nur so weit, wie es für das Pferd wichtig und gut ist um sich zu entwickeln, und nicht so, dass es Angst und Stress bekommt.
Manuel unterstützt Christina in den Piaffe-Passage-Trab Übergängen. Es ist wichtig, dass insbesondere die Übergänge weich und ohne Stocken sind. Das Pferd darf und muss sich in verschiedenen Tempi bewegen können. Zu oft sieht man „andressierte“ Piaffen und Passagen, aus denen das jeweilige Pferd nicht mehr herausgeholt werden kann und insbesondere die Übergänge leiden dann stark. Wir möchten jedoch keine fix antrainierte Piaffe oder Passage, sondern spielen kunstvoll mit dem Rhythmus des jeweiligen Pferdes. Denn jedes Pferd hat auch seine eigene Musik in diesen Lektionen! Und es gilt diese zu respektieren und letztendlich dann zu fördern.

Manuel Jorge de Oliveira trains Risky Business (EN)
An exciting sequence from the daily work together with Christina Wunderlich as rider and Manuel Jorge de Oliveira as trainer: Diligent and willing, Risky Business now goes into the piaffe – and no longer reacts frantically to the trainer on the ground or with resistance to the rider. Risky still grinds his teeth slightly – unfortunately a testimony to his past that we cannot simply undo. But – the easiness and lightness he shows already gives us breathtaking moments! We have to be able to give the horses so much confidence that we can take them beyond their current limit – but only as far as it is important and good for the horse to develop, and not so far that he gets scared and stressed.
Manuel supports Christina in the piaffe-passage-trot transitions. It is important that the transitions in particular are smooth and without faltering or stagnation. The horse is allowed and must be able to move at different tempos. Too often you can see a „drilled“ piaffe and passage which the respective horse can no longer change or smoothly bake into the horse’s natural movement and especially the transitions then suffer a lot. However, we do not want an isolated drilled piaffe or passage, but play artfully with the rhythm of the respective horse. Because every horse has its own music in these lessons! And it is important to respect this and ultimately then to encourage and foster.
