Risky Business ist nun schon weiter gefördert und kann die Piaffe länger halten. Er darf Hals und Kopf benutzen um sich in dieser schweren Lektion auszubalancieren. Sehr schön dürfen wir begleiten, wie Christina beginnt in der Piaffe zu spielen: Am Platz, ein leichtes Vorwärts oder sogar einmal ein kleines Rückwärts sind für die Reiterin steuerbar und abrufbar – während der Rhythmus der Piaffe konstant bleibt. Das Zähneknirschen ist schon viel besser geworden aber noch nicht ganz weg. Wenn die Losgelassenheit in den hoch versammelten Lektionen steigt wird auch das weniger werden.
Der Übergang in die Passage zeigt sich dann stark von der Piaffe unterstützt – so dass Christina eine hoch versammelte und sehr ausdrucksstarke Passage erhält. Auch von dort müssen die Übergänge möglichst sanft wieder zurück in die Piaffe gehen. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Piaffe rückwärts von der Reiterin gewollt ist und kein Entziehen des Pferdes – absolute Vorbedingung dafür ist, dass das Pferd ehrlich und klar im Vorwärts ist! Dies darf nie aus einer eigenwilligen Entscheidung des Pferdes kommen, denn auch im Rückwärts muss das Pferd stets in Gedanken vorwärts sein.

Risky Business is now more advanced and can hold the piaffe a longer time with more strides. He is allowed to use his neck and head to balance himself in this difficult lesson. A great moment we may accompany how Christina begins to play in the piaffe: In place, a slight forward or even once a little backward are controllable and retrievable for the rider – while the rhythm of the piaffe remains constant. The gnashing of teeth has become much better but not yet completely gone. As soon as the horse will be in full suppleness this will disappear.
The transition into the passage then shows the strong pre-work from the piaffe – giving Christina a highly collected and very expressive passage. Also from passage, the transitions must be as smooth as possible back into the piaffe. Make sure that the piaffe backward is wanted by the rider and not a withdrawal of the horse – absolute prerequisite is that the horse is honest and clear in the forward! This must never come from a self-willed decision of the horse, because even in the backward the horse must always think forward.
