Hier arbeitet Christina an den Übergängen in der Galopparbeit. Von Verstärkungen zurück zu einem versammelnden Galopp um dann halbe Pirouetten hinzuzufügen – auch der Außengalopp spielt eine große Rolle! Natürlich gehören auch die Serienwechsel dazu, die immer gerader gelingen. Achten Sie auch bei Ihren Verstärkungen darauf, dass das Pferd nicht nur „schnell“ wird, sondern eine echte Rahmenerweiterung stattfindet – die Tritte und Sprünge also weit werden, aber keinerlei Mehrgewicht auf die Vorhand rutscht als im versammelten Galopp. Das Pferd muss in Balance bleiben!
Übergänge und Sequenzen in der Piaffe helfen, das Pferd wieder auf die Hinterhand zu setzen, sollte Risky doch Gewicht nach vorne gebracht haben. Auch aus der Piaffe kann Christina direkt in die Pirouetten übergehen. Loben Sie das Pferd am Schluss! Auch das ist ein wichtiger Punkt den wir mitgeben – unsere Pferde gehen stets mit einem Lob, zufriedenem Gesicht und mit viel Energie aus der Bahn. Auch wenn wir anstrengende Lektionen abfragen soll das Pferd immer mit mehr Energie aus der Halle kommen wie es reingekommen ist.

Risky Business in canter work. (EN)
In this Video Christina works on the transitions in canter. From reinforcements to extended canter back to a collected canter to then add half pirouettes – the counter canter also plays a big role! Of course, flying changes in sequence are also a part of this, always succeeding straighter. Also make sure with your reinforcements that the horse is not just „going fast“, but that there is a real frame extension and lengthening of frame – so the strides and jumps become wide, but no more weight slips onto the forehand than in the collected canter. The horse must remain in balance!
Transitions to and sequences in the piaffe help to put the horse back on the hindquarters, should Risky have brought weight forward after all. Christina can also transition directly from the piaffe into the pirouettes. Praise the horse at the end! This is another important point we pass along – our horses always leave the arena with praise, a happy face and lots of energy. Even if we are asking strenuous lessons, the horse should always come out of the arena with more energy than he came in with.
