Es wird zu zweit longiert: Der Longenführer kann so in der Mitte des Zirkels als Anker funktionieren und die zweite Person muss den Junghengst mit aller Konsequenz in die Richtung treiben, in die er gehen soll. Das bevorzugte Tempo ist zu Beginn der Galopp, um den Stallübermut herauszulassen. Die abschließenden Runden werden in ruhigem Tempo ausgetrabt. Auch das Führen vom Longierzirkel in die Box will gerlernt sein: Hier soll sich Quinto auf die führende Person konzentrieren und lernen, ihr zu vertrauen.
